Public Boil Water Rescind Notice
To the Customers in Onalaska that experienced loss of pressure or a water outage on February 19, 2025
OR ANY OTHER CUSTOMER IN THIS AREA THAT EXPERIENCED A WATER OUTAGE DURING THIS TIME.
In the early morning hours of February 19, 2025, our system experienced a major water main break that reduced water pressure below the state standards. Therefore, we are issuing a system wide boil water notice.
on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system, Onalaska Water Supply Corporation (OWSC) PWS ID #1870009, to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform certain customers in Onalaska that experienced loss of pressure or a water outage on February 19, 2025 OR ANY OTHER CUSTOMER IN THIS AREA THAT EXPERIENCED A WATER OUTAGE DURING THIS TIME., that due to a loss of pressure from a water main break, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.
Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of today, Thursday, February 20, 2025
